  • It is finally the fall/ winter season and I couldn’t be more excited for this season’s fashion. Now that the weather is becoming colder, sweater weather is upon us and it is time to bundle up. It is the perfect time to build up your wardrobe and establish your fall/ winter essentials.

  • Puffer jackets: Puffer jackets are a perfect winter coat for the season. Through different years the puffer jacket is seen being reinvented time and time gain through new patterns and silhouettes whether you prefer a cropped puffer jacket or a long puffer coat. They are great for the season and add a bit of texture to your outfit, while keeping you warm and cozy.

  • Turtlenecks/Mock Necks: For the winter time a turtleneck is a perfect item to keep warm while looking chic and put together. Now, you can get any colored turtleneck, from brighter colors to darker tone colors. If you are tired of your simple black turtleneck, another colorway you can wear is brighter tones like green, pink, and or red, are perfect colors that can be implemented into your wardrobe. On the other hand, if you don’t like turtlenecks or want a different style of the piece then a mock neck would be perfect for you. Mock Necks, like turtlenecks, keep you warm and stylish. However, the only difference is that mock necks are less constricting as a turtleneck is much more constricting and form fitting. So if you do not like turtlenecks then a mock neck would be perfect for you.

  • Sweaters: No fall- winter weather wardrobe is complete without a cozy sweater. Whether it's an oversized sweater, cable knit, ribbed knit, or a chunky sweater. For this fall- winter wardrobe any style of sweater is perfect.

  • Beanies/ Balaclava: Winter caps are a must have essential that we all need. They help to keep you warm and snuggled up, while also looking stylish. In addition, beanies are essential to your fall and winter essential, and it's just because it helps with bad hair days. They are versatile articles of clothing that can be paired with anything and everything. In addition, beanies provide many options to a wardrobe, whether you are trying to keep warm or spruce up your outfit, it will get the job done. However, if you are over the style of beanies then a balaclava will be the perfect essential for your wardrobe. Currently, balaclavas have become the new it thing when it comes to hats and knitwear. With this style of hat, it is a different style of the beanie. A balaclava protects the face and head instead of just the head, so if you would like more support when battling the colder weather a balaclava is the perfect essential to have.

  • Leather Jackets: Already, jackets are a vital essential to the colder weather and the changing season. From puffers to teddy coats, jackets are a very important fall, winter essential. In particular leather jackets. Leather jackets look amazing on anyone, and can be styled with anything and everything. You can get leather jackets from many different places, whether that's your local thrift store, or a second hand, leather jackets are a classic option for your wardrobe. Whether you are dressing it down or heading out for a night out, a leather jacket is no doubt a staple for this fall and winter season.

  • Boots:The number one thing everyone needs in their wardrobe is a good boot. From combat boots to platforms, any form of boot is perfect for your fall and winter wardrobe. Additionally, many of these different styles of boots will seamlessly fit into your wardrobe going into the next year. Some styles of boots that will fit into your wardrobe seamlessly are the Dr. Marten Jaden or Quad style boot, and any Steve Madden ankle booties.

  • Knits: This season there has been a big knit wear craze, and I for one love to see it. Many brands are jumping onto this wave and many up and coming brands are showing just how versatile you can be with knit wear. Knits can come in many different forms, whether that's sweaters, hats, or bags, knits are an essential to the perfect wardrobe. From brands like Nana Studioz to Paloma Wool, knit wear is one of the best clothing items to have in your closet. It's a clothing item that we all know and love from time to time due to its relaxed feel and its ability to be dressed down. If you are looking for sustainable knitwear brands or small businesses that create knitwear, some brands to include are Nana Studioz, Zilstorff crochet, Paloma Wool, Nong Rak, and Kazclops on Instagram, just to name a few.

  • Faux fur trim anything: from winter coats to cardigans, and sweaters, the faux fur trim trend is taking over. Since the fall and winter season is approaching it is predictable that we take advantage of the playful and trendy style. Faux fur trim is seen in about everything and everywhere. Faux trimmed tops and jackets are taking over this season and they come with a range of styles that will please everyone. From a cross between posh and nostalgia, faux fur trimming is the best item to add within your wardrobe for those colder night outs.

  • Accessories: of course with an outfit you need accessories in order to pull your look together. The practical choice for fall through winter is mittens and gloves, they keep you warm and chic at the same time. In addition, another accessory to pull your look together is bags, preferably bigger bags. As we all know bags can really pull an outfit together, however for this season we are opting out of the mini bag and instead going for bigger bags. For instance, large framed nags or a tote bag are efficient, and will carry all of your necessities with no hassle. Another accessory to get through the fall and winter season is scarvess. Scarves have always been a staple for the colder months and it's time to pull it back out. No fall and winter outfit is complete without a scarf. Whether it's a colorful scarf, large silk scarf, or a plaid classic, scarves are a huge essential to the fall and winter season.
